The Everyday Fit

The Everyday Fit

I love to get dressed. I love special occasions that call for a suit or a nice formal dinner that beckons for an especially thoughtful fit, but sometimes these savory moments are few and far between.
I struggled with making fashion content again. It has been years since my blogger days and although I maintained a high standard for my fit pics this entire time, I just wondered if anyone was listening. I mean sometimes I really think to myself..."Is this thing on?" But then a combination of things happened. Over the holidays, I got to enjoy some of these aforementioned moments. These moments were filled with thrifted 1970s leather and new suede double breasted juiciness. In short, I got a chanced to get dressed again. Then, as I began to post these fits (just to stories, as I rarely get out to shoot anymore) I started to get questions. Other regular dudes that loved to get dressed wanted to know where some of the juice was from. I realized that with all this sauce, it was time to make the pasta. Although I will get to the leather and suede, I felt the best place to start was the fit I wear the most. These are some of the things I put on everyday. The focus is comfort and durability and being that it is finally getting cold out here in New Jerseyland, warmth.
😳
Beanie: Waffle knit short beanie ordered on Amazon
Fisherman sweater: L.L. Bean. Bean makes two versions of this sweater. I opted for the cotton as I am very particular about wool.
M-65 Field jacket: This is my workhorse of the 3 M-65 field jackets I own. Thrifted at L-Train vintage in Bushwick for $25. This baby came with the liner. It weighs like 10lbs and will keep you worm in literally any weather.
Denim: Gap Slim Straight. I have these in 3 shades and they are my everyday wear jeans behind the bar. I usually opt for denim with little to no spandex in them as everything has it nowadays but for work it is kind of necessary.
Boots: Clarks Goretex. I found these babies at a discount store for just $80 years ago and they are my go to for weather. They are fur lined and waterproof. Perfect for these winter months.
I'm toying with doing some video versions of these posts. If you think I should, please let me know. Stay Fitted my friends. Kirk Out.
